Organic Cotton Fabric
Organic cotton fabric is an eco-friendly fabric made from cotton grown without using any synthetic chemicals. The organic cotton fabric collection is made from natural fibers, dyes and inks and is grown without synthetic pesticides, insecticides, herbicides or GMOs (Genetic Modified Organisms).
The Importance of GOTS Certification
GOTS certification ensures the organic status of textiles, from harvesting of the raw materials through environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing all the way to labeling, in order to provide credible assurance to the consumer.
The role of GOTS certification
in Organic Cotton
GOTS certification is a recognized world’s leading standard for Organic textiles and become the most well-known and strictest certification for organic cotton.
It complies with high-level environmental criteria along the entire organic textiles supply chain with strict social criteria as well.
All chemical inputs such as dyestuffs and auxiliaries used must meet certain environmental and toxicological criteria.
With factories that are certified by GOTS, it is mandatory that there is a functional waste water treatment plant for any wet-processing unit involved and all processors must comply with social criteria and working conditions according to modern fair-trade rules.
